City of Sparks Announces Call for Artists for City Hall Gallery, Showcasing Local Talent

Sparks, NV - The City of Sparks Parks and Recreation Department is accepting submissions for works to be considered for their City Hall gallery space. This program features a rotating gallery located in the foyer of Sparks City Hall, with new artists highlighted biannually.

The opportunity is exclusively open to Sparks residents to reflect pride and appreciation for the creative talents within the Sparks community. The gallery space, a 12 ft x 7 ft wall inside the main entrance of City Hall, averages 2,000 visitors per month, offering significant exposure to the selected artists.

Artists are invited to submit a body of work, consisting of 4-10 pieces, for consideration. A selection committee will review all submissions and select one artist to have their work displayed for a six-month period. There is no fee to submit.

"We're excited to feature a new local artist in the gallery space inside our own Sparks City Hall," said Special Events Supervisor Raquel Monserrat. "This space will give our resident artists an opportunity to reach new audiences and art buyers, while City of Sparks employees are inspired by a local artist's work."
