Investigation into Fatal Crash at 9000 Clearwood Drive

October 18, 2024- Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 9000 Clearwood Drive about 2:10 a.m. today.

The identity of the deceased woman, 29, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer J. Best reported:

The woman was driving a white Dodge Durango westbound near the above address when she failed to stay in a single lane and struck a tree. The Durango then burst into flames. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the woman deceased.

The investigation is continuing.
