DALLAS - Justin F. Kimball High School is gearing up for its second annual College, Career, and Military Readiness Fair Day at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 24. More than 25 organizations will be on campus to connect students with opportunities in higher education, careers, and military service. Recognized as one of Dallas ISD's top-performing campuses in CCMR, Kimball continues to raise the bar in preparing students for success beyond high school. With strong community partnerships and growing student engagement, this year's fair promises to be an inspiring and impactful experience for more than 500 students.

Kiest Elementary students are wild about books
More than 500 students at Edwin J. Kiest Elementary School students are in for a treat, as United to Learn will host a wild animal-themed book bash on campus at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 24. The event will bring music, excitement, and a free book to every student. The lively literacy event aims to make reading fun and unforgettable for every child.

Families are invited to attend Dallas ISD's Discover event - the largest school fair in the city - at 9 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Automobile Building in Fair Park. The event gives parents and students the chance to explore the district's many choice, application-based, and Legacy Schools, each designed to help every student find their perfect fit. Families are encouraged to meet with school representatives and learn more about programs such as dual language, Montessori, magnet, STEM/STEAM, International Baccalaureate, and more.

VISUALS:South Oak Cliff High School hosts essential item giveaway
The spirit of giving was in full swing this morning at South Oak Cliff High School. More than 400 families were each provided with 70 pounds of essential items, including food, hygiene products, personal care items, and more. The distribution was made possible by the Popeyes Foundation in partnership with Feed the Children.
