New York State Inspector General Publishes Investigative Letters...

ALBANY, NY - The Offices of the New York State Inspector General (OIG) today published a new set of investigative letters sent to state agencies detailing recent findings and recommendations. These letters, now available to the public for the first time, provide direct insight into the oversight work that promotes integrity and accountability across New York State government.

"Oversight can't happen in the dark. The publication of these letters reinforces our office's commitment to openness and accountability," said New York State Inspector General Lucy Lang. "Our investigations tackle issues - large and small - that affect public trust, and the publication of these findings should give New Yorkers confidence that we are watching."

Today's release builds on ongoing transparency measures launched by the Inspector General, including a monthly public data dashboard highlighting complaint activity, publication of historical investigative correspondence, robust public engagement across a variety of platforms, and ongoing training and community outreach.
