ACTION PLAN AMENDMENT
30 DAY COMMENT PERIOD

The City of Mobile, Alabama (the City) was awarded up to $1,500,000.00 in Community Development Block Grant-Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) funds under the CARES Act through the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus impacts. These funds support public service and public facility projects that directly address the health and safety needs of the Mobile community due to COVID-19. The City is publishing this amendment to the Action Plan, for citizen comment for a period of at least thirty (30) calendar days from the date of that publication. The Amendment is published in order to afford affected citizens an opportunity to examine its contents and to submit comments relating thereto. The City is utilizing waivers provided for by the CARES Act and as published in the Federal Register Docket No. FR-6218-N01. The anticipated funding source for project and activities proposed in this publication is ADECA. For more information on program requirements including waivers, eligibility, and uses of funds, please visit www.adeca.alabama.gov. All funds are derived from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). While the funds and activities in this publication fall outside of the direct allocation of HUD funds the City receives, the City is utilizing its general amendment format for clarity and conformity. The following is the description of the overall grant programs provided, through HUD funding, by the City.
