WASHINGTON, D.C. - Joint Staff Spokesperson Navy Capt. Jereal Dorsey provided the following readout:

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., yesterday spoke with Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Gen. Oleksandr Syrskyi by phone.

Gen. Brown and Gen. Syrskyi discussed the latest battlefield developments, security assistance efforts and military modernization reforms. Ukraine is a key partner to NATO and is strongly committed to national sovereignty and democratic principles.
