Donations Needed for Rocket Thrift Shop Event on Nov. 5

The Center for Advocacy and Student Experience is hosting "Rocket Thrift Shop," an event for students to "shop" for free gently used clothing, shoes, housewares and more. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Thompson Student Union Ingman Room.

We are accepting donations of new or gently used clothing (clean and free of stains and rips), housewares, shoes, books, children's items, hangers, reusable bags and more.

Please refrain from donating under garments, bathing suits, furniture, electronics and tools.

Donations can be dropped off at the following locations:

• Mulford Library First Floor (Student Service Center) on Health Science Campus
• Tucker Hall Room 0100 (Saloff Welcome Center)
• Snyder Memorial Room 1000 (Center of International Studies and Programs)
• Thompson Student Union Room 2518 (Center for Advocacy and Student Experience)

"The Rocket Thrift Shop was a great resource when I was at UToledo" said Riley Grady, a recent graduate from the Judith Herb College of Arts, Social Sciences and Education. "Free clothing is always a win as a student, but finding professional pieces there too was really the cherry on top and helped me build my professional wardrobe over the last couple years. I'm happy to finally be in a position to give back."

For community convenience we will be offering one specific Drive Through Drop-Off day, when you can pull up and we will grab donations: Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to noon in Area 11.
