Chairman Boozman Applauds President’s Leadership to Expand Market Access for American Ag Products

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Chairman John Boozman (R-AR) applauds President Trump's trade deal with the United Kingdom that will expand market access for American agriculture products. He issued the following statement:

"President Trump is delivering on his promise to negotiate better trade deals and level the playing field for American producers to compete globally. Thanks to the president's leadership, we have a framework for robust trade with one of our most important allies. The United Kingdom is an important potential market for increased exports of key Arkansas products like rice, and early reports of this deal demonstrate serious wins for our nation's beef and ethanol producers. Increasing agriculture exports is critical to the long-term success of farm families and our national food security, and as the final details of this trade deal come together, I take note that the administration is making this a priority."
