Volusia County Resource Stewardship Announces New Campsite at Deep Creek Preserve

Volusia County is expanding its network of primitive campsites across five preserves with a brand-new campsite at Deep Creek Preserve, located at 964 S. State Road 415 in New Smyrna Beach. The new campsite can accommodate groups of up to 25 and features a firepit, picnic table, and grill.

The 8,040-acre Deep Creek Preserve includes natural and agricultural features. Deep Creek Preserve showcases a diverse landscape, including dome and basin swamps as well as flatwoods. The preserve offers three trails ideal for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Spanning 3,000 acres, it is home to various wildlife, including deer, black bears, and numerous bird species.
