The 41st Meeting of the Governing Council of the ASEAN Institute for Peace and Reconciliation (ASEAN-IPR), held on 28 August 2026 in Manila, the Philippines, deliberated on ongoing programmes and new initiatives in research and capacity-building aimed at strengthening peace resilience and conflict prevention across the region, in alignment with ASEAN 2045: Our Shared Future. Discussions focused on expanding the scope and impact of ASEAN-IPR's work in addressing both traditional and non-traditional security challenges, while engaging a broad range of stakeholders as collaborators and beneficiaries-reinforcing its role as a Track 1.5 institution supporting the ASEAN Political-Security Community.
The Meeting was chaired by H.E. Ambassador Evangeline Ong Jimenez-Ducrocq, Chair of the Governing Council and Permanent Representative of the Philippines to ASEAN, and was attended by members of the Governing Council. H.E. Nararya Sanggramawijaya Soeprapto, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for Community and Corporate Affairs Department, attended the Meeting on behalf of the Secretary-General of ASEAN as an Ex-Officio Member of the Governing Council.
