City of Montgomery to Open Public Pools for Summer Season on May 26

The City of Montgomery Parks and Recreation Department announced that its public pools will officially open for the summer season on May 26, 2026. Four pool locations across the city will welcome residents and visitors for family-friendly fun throughout the warmer months.

The following pools will be open to the public:
Gunter Pool - 2390 Cong W. L. Dickinson Drive
McIntyre Community Center Pool - 1249 Hugh Street
Sheridan Heights Community Center Pool - 3501 Faro Drive
Regency Park Pool - 5995 Christy Lane

Admission is $2 per person for ages six and up. Cash only will be accepted, and exact change is preferred.

To maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all swimmers, the department reminds guests of the following pool guidelines:
• Proper swimwear is required.
• Jeans, shirts, and cover-ups are not permitted in the water.
• Boys' swim trunks must include a built-in mesh lining.
• All bags must be clear for entry.

Visitors are encouraged to bring their own towels and sunscreen. Certified lifeguards will be on duty at all public pool sites during operating hours.

Pool Hours:
Monday-Friday: 1 p.m.-6:30 p.m.
Saturday: 1 p.m.-6 p.m.
Sunday: 1 p.m.-5 p.m.
