The City of North Port Parks & Recreation Department is launching a new ongoing activity, Board Game Blitz, beginning Monday, Oct. 6, 2025. The program will be held every Monday from 9 a.m. to noon at the George Mullen Activity Center, 1602 Kramer Way.
Board Game Blitz is designed as a casual, drop-in activity open to players of all skill levels. Participants can choose from a variety of classic games including American Mahjong, Chinese Mahjong, Scrabble, Chess, and Checkers.
"This activity gives residents a chance to challenge their minds, meet new people and enjoy a fun start to the week," said Alex Romero, Recreation Program Coordinator. "It's a simple but meaningful way to connect with others and enjoy the sense of community that makes North Port special."
The cost to participate is $4 for residents and $5 for non-residents. No pre-registration is required.
