Summer on campus may be a bit more quiet than usual, but Brandeis students sure haven't slowed down. From research, to internships, to summer classes, the Brandeis community has been making the most of their break. We've gathered some of our favorite snapshots to show how Brandeis students are spending their summers - learning, exploring and recharging in preparation for the fall semester.

Students in campus labs and the MRSEC Research Experience for Undergraduates program spent their summer investigating big questions and gaining real-world research experience. Whether analyzing data, building new tech or experimenting in the lab, they explored complex topics and built on skills learned in the classroom.

Jacob H. '26 and engineering professor Jonathan Krones work together in the lab.

Many students took their skills off campus at summer internships, gaining hands-on experience, building professional networks and exploring career paths in their fields.

Gabriella C. '27 spent her summer interning at the Jewish Women's Archive.
Lyra G. '27 at her internship at the New England Aquarium, where she was responsible for animal care and feeding.
Jae F. '28 during their internship at Central Square Theater.

On campus, some students stayed busy by taking summer courses.

Olivia L. '27 examines flies under a microscope during Deani Cooper's Introductory Biology Lab class.
Katherine R. '25 learns about a camera gimbal with Professor Ambrus Hernadi in his Cinematography (FILM 120A) class.

High school students in the three-week Genesis program immersed themselves in Jewish learning, identity-building and college-level study.

The Brandeis community also found time to relax and connect, enjoying sunny afternoons and ice cream breaks with friends.

It's been a busy and rewarding summer at Brandeis, full of learning and growth. We're looking forward to seeing what the fall semester will bring!
