Frostburg State University's Department of Music, Theatre and Dance will present its choral concert, titled "Voices from the Stage," on Saturday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU's Woodward D. Pealer Performing Arts Center. The FSU choral artists, conducted by Dr. Scott Rieker, director of Choral Activities and Choral Music Education, along with collaborative pianist Dr. Joseph Yungen.
The concert will consist of some of the most memorable choral compositions to arise from the operatic stage. Who could forget the "March of the Toreadors" from Carmen or Bernstein's "Make Our Garden Grow" from Candide. FSU voice faculty, alongside the FSU Chamber Singers, University Chorale, Troubadours Tenor/Bass Choir and the Altissia Treble Choir, will present an evening of music and drama guaranteed to set your toe tapping.
Tickets for adults are $20 cash/$21.09 credit/debit card; or FSU ID, seniors, military $10 cash/$10.9 credit/debit card; and FREE for youth (12 & under).
