Lane & Ramp Closures on Routes 99, 152 & 165

Merced County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place for the following construction and maintenance activities on State Routes 99 (SR-99), SR-152 and SR-165 in Merced County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 99

  • One-way surface street traffic control on the East Atwater Over-Crossing for utility work beginning Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Full on-ramp closure on northbound SR-99 at Hammatt Avenue Over-Crossing for landscape work beginning Monday, June 15, through Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
  • Full off-ramp closure on northbound SR-99 at Winton Parkway Over-Crossing for landscape work beginning Monday, June 15, through Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

State Route 152

  • Full off-ramp closure on westbound SR-152 at the I-5 interchange for sign/banner work on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

State Route 165

  • Full surface street closure of Geer Avenue from Pearl St. to Spring Street for traffic signal work beginning Wednesday June 17, through Friday, June 17, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
  • One-way traffic control at Geer Avenue for pavement work beginning Wednesday, June 17, through Friday, June 19, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
