Opening Hours of Beijing's Museums During Spring Festival Holiday

Planning to visit museums in Beijing during the Spring Festival holiday? This is what you need for your trip.

National Museum of China

Open on February 15 and February 17-23; closed on February 16.

Note: All visitors must make real-name reservations. Tickets can be reserved free of charge via the museum's official WeChat mini-program, WeChat account, or website up to seven days in advance. Visitors must enter during their reserved time slots.

Capital Museum, China

The museum will be closed on February 16 and open at 12:00 on February 17, and will resume its regular schedule (opening from 9:00) from February 18 to 23, with extended hours to 19:00 from February 17 to 23.

Chinese Archaeological Museum

The museum will open from February 15 to 23. The closing time will be extended from 16:30 to 17:00. Visitors can make reservations via the museum's official WeChat account up to three days in advance.

Prince Kung's Palace Museum

Closed from February 16 to 17; open as usual on February 15 and February 18-23.

Beijing Ancient Architecture Museum

Open on February 15 and February 17-23; closed on February 16 and 24. The museum will resume its regular schedule from February 25: closed every Monday, open Tuesday through Sunday.

Opening hours: 9:00-17:00 (last ticket sale and entry at 16:30)

Beijing Arts and Crafts Museum

Closed from February 16 to 18; open on February 19.

Opening hours: 10:00-17:00 (last entry at 16:00)

Natural History Museum of China

From February 18 to 23, the closing time will be extended to 18:00.

Beijing Cultural Exchange Museum (Zhihua Temple)

On March 3 (Lantern Festival), the closing time will be extended to 19:00 (last ticket sale at 18:30).

Beijing Olympic Museum

Until February 22, the closing time will be extended to 20:00.

Beijing Bell and Drum Towers' Cultural Relics Preservation Office

From February 17 to 23, the closing time will be extended to 17:00.

Haidian District's Three Hills and Five Gardens Cultural and Art Center (Haidian District Museum)

From February 17 to 18, the closing time will be extended to 20:00 (last entry at 19:31).

Beijing Eight Imperial Handicrafts Museum

From February 17 to 23, the closing time will be extended to 17:00 (open from 9:00 to 17:00; last entry at 16:30).
