Klobuchar, Boozman Lead Senate Recognition of 4-H

Senate Adopts Resolution Designating October 5-11 National 4-H Week

WASHINGTON?-?U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Ranking Member Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Chairman John Boozman (R-AR), co-chairs of the Senate 4-H Caucus, are celebrating National 4-H Week by leading a resolution recognizing the importance of the program on youth development. The Senate passed the resolution designating October 5-11, 2025 as National 4-H Week.

"Minnesota 4-H is preparing over 40,000 young Minnesotans to lead in their communities," said Klobuchar. "I am glad to partner with Senator Boozman to recognize the work of 4-H by designating this week as National 4-H Week. As co-chair of the 4-H Caucus, I will continue working with my colleagues to support opportunities for youth engaged in agriculture."

"4-H plays a vital role in preparing young people for the future. I've seen its impact on my three daughters, who discovered new interests and talents as active members. I'm proud to support this organization and look forward to continuing to celebrate its mission of shaping the next generation of leaders,"?Boozman said.

4-H is a youth development program of the Cooperative Extension System of land-grant universities, and it is the largest youth development organization in the country.?It?provides experiences for nearly six million young people through hands-on projects in health, science, agriculture and civic engagement annually including 40,000 in Minnesota and 130,000 in Arkansas.
