Blumenthal Statement on $256 Million Contract for F135 Engines

[Hartford, CT] - U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, released the following statement today on the U.S. Navy's announcement that RTX was awarded a $256 million contract to support the production of F135 engines.

"This contract modification is yet another boost for the talented workforce at Pratt & Whitney. With this $256 million in federal funding, Pratt's highly skilled workers will be equipped to produce more F135 engines for fighter jets. Our servicemen and women deserve the very best tools to do their jobs and protect national security, and I am thrilled to see yet another vote of confidence for Connecticut made," Blumenthal said.
