Celebrating with his WSU family

Singer-songwriter Andy Grammer strengthened his long-running connection to Washington State University following a July 30 performance at the Sandpoint Music Festival, accepting a custom WSU football jersey bearing his name.

Holding up the jersey during a backstage gathering, Grammer shared his appreciation for what he affectionally called his "WSU family."

It marked another full-circle moment in Grammer's deepening relationship with WSU. He performed on the Pullman campus in 2018 and again in 2021 and his hit 2014 song "Back Home" has become the anthem of WSU Cougar football, being played during every home game at Gesa Field. The gesture also builds on Grammer's recognition as a WSU Honorary Alumnus, celebrating a connection that has continued to resonate with the university community for years.

The artist, who recently welcomed his third daughter, West, also spoke about being a proud girl dad. They'll know they have a place at WSU when the time comes.
