WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) is taking action to stand up for our nation's most vulnerable. Sen. Tuberville (R-AL) joined Senator James Lankford (R-OK) in introducing the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act to protect children who survive abortion attempts. He also cosponsored Senator Rand Paul's (R-KY) Defund Planned Parenthood Act to protect taxpayers from supporting abortions. Finally, he co-wrote a letter with Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS) to President Trump encouraging him to reinstate pro-life policies in his new administration.
This effort comes ahead of the March for Life, which will take place tomorrow in Washington, D.C.
"Since I got to Washington, I have been a champion for the unborn," said Senator Tuberville. "As Suzanne and I are welcoming our first grandchild this year, we have been reminded that every baby's life is precious. This is not about Republican or Democrat; this is about right and wrong. President Trump has a strong record of pro-life policies, and I am confident that his administration will continue to stand for life. I'm proud to partner with my Republican colleagues to fight for the most vulnerable among us."
