Norton Rose Fulbright advises Abeille Assurances on the sale of Eurofil

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Abeille Assurances on the sale of its direct insurance business operated under the brand Eurofil to Allianz Direct.

The deal is effective from 1 January 2026, after obtaining all necessary regulatory approvals.

The transaction involved the sale of the insurance portfolio, the brand and operational assets as well as the transfer of more than 300 dedicated employees.

The team was led by Bénédicte Denis, partner and head of the the firm's Paris corporate/M&A and insurance assisted by counsel Catherine Mandon, senior associate Pierre Joubert, and associate Inès Azouaou.

The wider team also included senior associate Simon Lazzarri and associate Pierre Bourcier de Saint Chaffray, who advised on insurance regulatory matters; partner Marta Giner Asins and associate Constance Chevreste, who advised on competition law; partner Nadège Martin and counsel Geoffroy Coulouvrat, who provided guidance on technology law; counsel Clément Monnet on intellectual property matters; partner Laure Joncour and counsel Marie Thérèse Eugenio on employment law; and partner and EMEA head of tax Antoine Colonna d'Istria together with associate Alexandra Bloch Manikow, who advised on tax aspects. Counsel Arnaud Labouré also contributed on real estate matters.
