Prague-Global law firm Dentons has advised PPF banka, a.s. in connection with the financing of two battery energy storage systems (BESS) projects in Germany, undertaken by BESS Königsee GmbH and BESS Tirpersdorf GmbH.
Dentons advised on the drafting and negotiation of the financing and security documentation, reviewed key project contracts, and supported the transaction through to signing and completion, including issuance of legal opinion and management of conditions precedent.
PPF banka provided long-term project financing in the amount of €15.3 million for two battery storage facilities in Germany, with combined capacity of 72.4 MWh, with one facility in commercial operation and construction of the second nearing completion. The financing represents the first bank financing secured by the RSJ PE SF Batteries fund, which is building a broader portfolio of battery energy storage assets across the EU.
