Rep. Marvin Lim, Sen. Sonya Halpern to Host 2nd Annual Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites High School Art Contest at the Georgia State Capitol`

ATLANTA - State Representative Marvin Lim (D-Norcross) and State Senator Sonya Halpern (D-Atlanta) will host the second Annual Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites High School Art Contest on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 10 a.m., at the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta, Georgia.

The series of events will begin at 10 a.m., where attendees will be recognized by Rep. Lim and Sen. Halpern from the public galleries of the House and Senate chambers. At 2:30 p.m. remarks will be given from the director of Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites, followed by presentations from the Department of Natural Resources Commissioner's Office, Rep. Lim and Sen. Halpern. A group photo will be taken at 2:50 p.m., with the meet and greet starting at 3 p.m.

Winning artwork will be on display from 1 - 5 p.m. on the South Wing Steps of the Georgia State Capitol.
