Aminah Fawad ’15 VSB Selected as Recipient of the 2026 Villanova University Alumni Association Young Alumni Medal

VILLANOVA, Pa. (July 2, 2026) - The Villanova University Alumni Association (VUAA) has named Aminah Fawad '15 VSB as the recipient of its 2026 Young Alumni Medal. The award honors alumni who have made outstanding contributions professionally, academically and in service to the University.

Aminah served as the inaugural chair of Villanova's Young Alumni Advisory Council (YAAC), leading the council from its establishment in 2021 through 2025. The YAAC strengthens the relationship between the University and alumni who graduated within the past 15 years. Through her dedication and care as a leadership volunteer, she played an instrumental role in shaping the council and its mission. Her passion for young alumni engagement was evident in her continuous idea sharing, thoughtful leadership and vocal advocacy, helping the YAAC become a strong voice at Villanova to inspire fellow young alumni to remain connected and involved.

A believer in the power of the Nova Network and the importance of community, Aminah has dedicated herself to creating meaningful connections among students, alumni and the University. An alumna of the Villanova School of Business (VSB), she serves as a VSB mentor and Advisory Board member, helping provide strategic direction for the VSB Mentor Program, recruiting students and alumni to participate and organizing events that foster engagement and professional development.

"Aminah is exceptionally deserving of the Young Alumni Medal. As the first person to lead the Young Alumni Advisory Council, she played a vital role in strengthening connections between Villanova and its young alumni while helping to evolve the council into a meaningful voice for engagement and advocacy. Her dedication to the University and our alumni community makes her a fitting recipient of this honor," said Sheila Doherty P '23, '25, Associate Vice President for Alumni Relations.

Aminah graduated from Villanova in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Accounting and Management Information Systems. While on campus, she was also involved in New Student Orientation, Blue Key Society and served as president for the Women in Business Society. Currently, she works at Merck as an associate director in Global Oncology Marketing, leading promotional strategy for the oncology portfolio and partnering with countries across the world to bring life-saving medicines to more patients.

"I'm honored and deeply humbled to receive this award from a place that means so much to me," said Aminah. "Villanova was a defining chapter in my life, giving me so many personal and professional opportunities that I dared to dream of when I was a little girl. Being able to stay connected and give back to Villanova has been a highlight over the last few years, and I look forward to many more experiences and memories representing Villanova."

Aminah currently resides in Newtown Square, Pa., with her husband Rob Stover '15 VSB and their daughter Zara. Her continued commitment to Villanova, professional accomplishments and efforts to support the next generation of Villanovans exemplify the spirit of the Young Alumni Medal, and the VUAA will honor her at a ceremony during Homecoming Weekend 2026.
