Chinese Ambassador to Botswana Fan Yong Pays a Courtesy Call on Acting Minister of Lands and Agriculture Hon. Dikoloti

On June 13rd, Ambassador Fan Yong paid a courtesy call on Hon. Edwin G. Dikoloti, acting Minister of Lands and Agriculture . The two sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral agricultural cooperation between China and Botswana.

Ambassador Fan stressed that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Botswana. With the implementation of the Agreement and other outcomes of the FOCAC Beijing Summit 2024, China is willing to explore new ways and areas of agricultural cooperation with Botswana and further promote development of bilateral relations.

Hon. Dikoloti thanked China for its long-term valuable support for the agriculture development of Botswana. He said that Botswana expects to further promote the export of more high-quality agricultural products from Botswana to China, introduce more professional equipment and technology from China, and enhance agricultural cooperation between the two countries.
