Book Clubs for Adults at the Library

The City of Santa Maria Public Library offers a variety of monthly book clubs for adults. Each meeting is held in the Library's Learning Loft, located at 421 South McClelland Street.

Patrons interested in participating in the book clubs may register by visiting the Library's online events calendar at https://www.cityofsantamaria.org/library or by calling (805) 925-0994 extension 8562. Book clubs include light refreshments and lively discussion.

  • The Valley Reads will explore The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store by James McBride; Saturday, March 7th; 2:00 p.m.
  • "Junk Journal Book Club" will meet Saturday, March 7th; 3:00 p.m. to discuss Intermezzo by Sally Rooney and continue crafting junk journals.
  • For fans of contemporary romance fiction, the "Flirty Fiction Book Club" will discuss One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston; Monday, March 16th; 5:15 p.m.

The Library continually reimagines its services to offer a wide array of programs and resources that move beyond traditional Library services to welcome everyone for improved quality of life through lifelong learning, increased activities, and positive community connections.
