Residences at Marina Village Groundbreaking

A groundbreaking ceremony was held to officially launch the Residences at Marina Village project, a partnership between Palm Beach County, Related Urban Development Group, and the Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency, aimed at delivering new affordable and workforce housing units.

Palm Beach County is contributing a $4,719,882 Housing Initiative Program (HIP) loan to support the Residences at Marina Village housing project. The HIP provides low-cost gap financing for projects to expand the inventory of affordable and workforce housing units in the County.

Residences at Marina Village is an eight-story, 149-unit Class-A mixed-income development with units designated for households earning between 30% and 110% of Area Median Income (AMI). The community will be certified under the National Green Building Standards Gold Certification, featuring a full suite of elevated amenities, including energy-efficient appliances, low-flow water fixtures, a resort-style pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center, structured parking, mixed-use retail space and scenic views of the Intracoastal Waterway. Importantly, the project's units will remain affordable for no less than 60 years, ensuring long-term housing stability for residents.

"This development exemplifies Palm Beach County's ongoing commitment to supporting the creation of new multifamily housing that is affordable and accessible to our workforce," said Palm Beach County Administrator Joseph Abruzzo. The community is the first of its kind for the city, offering a full spectrum of affordable and workforce apartments as part of a comprehensive mixed-use master plan redevelopment of the Riviera Beach CRA's most valuable waterfront land, known as the Marina Village Master Plan.

"We are proud to stand together today to mark the beginning of a new chapter - let's continue a collaborative approach to changing lives and transforming neighborhoods into balanced communities."- Commissioner Bobby Powell Jr. (District 7)
