On November 13, 2024, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Carrie Leboeuf, age 44, of 18 Vernon Street, 1st Floor, Warren, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession of Child Pornography; and 2) Transfer of Child Pornography. Ms. Leboeuf was transported to the Middletown Police Department for processing then to Second District Court. Ms. Leboeuf was arraigned by the Honorable Judge Houlihan and issued bail at $5,000 personal recognizance, to include limited internet and no unsupervised contact with minors.

On November 13, 2024, members of the Financial Crimes Unit and the Wickford Barracks arrested James E. Thayer, age 54, of 182 Allegra Lane, North Kingstown, Rhode Island, for two (2) counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretenses. This arrest was the result of an investigation by the Financial Crimes Unit and subsequent warrant check at Mr. Thayer's residence. Mr. Thayer was transported to the Wickford Barracks and processed. Mr. Thayer was arraigned in Third Division District Court and released on $10,000 Personal Recognizance.
