7/16 - 7/18 - AERIAL MOSQUITO LARVICIDING

Notice of Aerial Mosquito Larviciding

Sussex County Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Health, Office of Mosquito Control

The Sussex County Office of Mosquito Control will be conducting aerial applications - July 16-July 18, 2025 between the hours of 5 AM and 9 PM.

The Office will be using the Vectobac GS EPA Reg # 73049-10 active ingredient of BTI (Bacillus thuringiensisisraelensis) for the control of larval (immature, Aquatic state) mosquitoes.

Potential areas to be treated are uninhabited, wetland areas located in the following

MUNICIPALITIES :

Andover Township, Hampton Township, Hardyston Township, Hopatcong Borough, Lafayette Township, Town of Newton, Sussex Borough, Vernon Township and Wantage Township

NOTE!!!!

THIS IS NOT A LIQUID OR AEROSOL SPRAY.

This application is targeting the aquatic larval stage of the mosquito development.

Treatments are NOT being conducted over residential areas.
