Chinese Embassy in Fiji Holds Briefing on the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and Launching Ceremony of the Commemorative Cover on the Fiftieth[...]

On December 4, the Chinese Embassy in Fiji held a briefing on the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the launching ceremony of the commemorative cover on the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Fiji. Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Wang Yuan of the Embassy attended the event. Nearly 40 guests, including representatives from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Fiji, and journalists with the Fiji Sun, the Fiji Times, Fiji Broadcasting Corporation, Fiji Village, Fiji TV, Mai TV, Fiji Live, the University of the South Pacific and Xinhua News Agency, were present.

Mr. Wang Yuan mainly introduced important experience of China in the scientific formulation and consistent implementation of Five-Year plans and its development achievements during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. He elaborated on major objectives of the 15th Five-Year Plan and its significant opportunities to the world and particularly to China-Fiji relations.

After the briefing, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Wang Yuan and the representative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Fiji jointly launched the commemorative cover on the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Fiji. The event was widely covered by Fijian media, applauding prominent advantages of China in governance and fruitful outcomes of the development of China-Fiji relations.
