WASHINGTON, D.C. - Ahead of Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche's confirmation hearing this week, U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), a senior member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, joined CNN to discuss the upcoming hearing and why "Trump's personal lawyer" is unfit to be attorney general.
Booker: "Todd Blanche has been called out by people across the political spectrum for being unfit for this job, for violating his oath to the Constitution, and for acting like Trump's personal lawyer and not in any way like he is fit or qualified to be the highest law enforcement officer in the land."
Booker: "Will any Republican listen to the chorus of people across the political spectrum that are coming out against him, from independent judges to literally 1,200 alumni of the DOJ? These are people on both sides of the political aisle, people who were appointed by Republican and Democratic presidents, calling out his corruption and unfit nature for this job."
