Former Councilmember Frank Moss dies at 81

Franklin Moss, who served on the Fort Worth City Council for a dozen years, died Dec. 14 in Fort Worth. He was 81.

Moss served District 5 from Aug. 8, 1998, to June 6, 2004, and again from May 12, 2007, to July 9, 2013.

Mayor Mattie Parker said: "We are incredibly saddened by the passing of former Fort Worth City Councilmember Frank Moss Sr. He leaves a legacy of deep commitment to District 5 and its residents, and his impactful service has built a stronger future for our entire city. Our hearts are with the Moss family and his loved ones as they grieve this enormous loss."

Details on funeral services have not been announced.
