NORTH PORT, FL - The City of North Port's Public Works Road-E-O has been rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 7, due to expected inclement weather this weekend.
The Road-E-O is a free, family friendly outdoor event that includes a "Big Truck" display and demonstration, kids Road-E-O course, food trucks, Operations Division skills competition, games, bounce houses, crafts, "Solid Waste Experience," local vendors and more.
With the National Weather Service forecast calling for a 50 percent chance of showers in North Port this Saturday and wind gusts as high as 34 mph, the event is being postponed by a week.
"We're disappointed we'll have to wait another week, but we want the Road-E-O to be a safe event that everyone can enjoy," said Chuck Speake, Director of Public Works. "We look forward to welcoming the community on Feb. 7."
Updated event details:
Date: Saturday, Feb. 7
