School of Social Work Facutly Present at First World Congress of Clinical Social Work

School of Social Work faculty, Golam Mathbor, Ph.D., interim dean and professor, Joelle Zabotka, Ph.D., chair and associate professor, Christa Hogan, MSW, Bachelor of Social Work program director and senior lecturer, Ralph Cuseglio, DSW, associate professor, and Jamie Nappi, MSW, specialist professor, recently presented at the First World Congress of Clinical Social Work.

The theme of the virtual event was hosted by Capa Social Work with a central theme of "Prioritizing people and their environment in a dynamic, changing, and digital world."

Mathbor was invited as a special guest speaker and delivered an opening day address, highlighting on the importance of clinical social and the specialization within the practice.

Zabotka, Hogan, Cuseglio, and Nappi participated in the panel discussion, "Helping the Helper," where they explored strategies in supporting social work professionals.

Capa Social Work is based in Peru and promotes social work and clinical social work with a dedication to training, capacity building, and consulting, while positively impacting the social work professionals.
