BOSTON - A Fall River man pleaded guilty today in federal court in Boston to drug distribution, drug conspiracy and firearm charges.
Wilson Colon-Tirado, 34, pleaded guilty to three counts of distribution of 40 grams or more of fentanyl, one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. U.S. Senior District Court Judge William G. Young scheduled sentencing for Jan. 7, 2026. Colon-Tirado was charged alongside co-conspirator Antonio Dossantos-Tirado in October 2025.
On June 10, 2025, Colon-Tirado sold a firearm, approximately 31 grams of fentanyl and approximately 29 grams of cocaine to a cooperating witness at the Sunset Hill housing development in Fall River. The transaction had been arranged with Colon-Tirado and his relative, Dossantos-Tirado.
One week later, on June 17, 2025, Colon-Tirado sold the cooperating witness approximately 49.9 grams of fentanyl. Later, on July 24, 2025, Colon-Tirado sold the cooperating witness two privately made 9mm firearms and approximately 19.9 grams of fentanyl. During that transaction, Colon-Tirado stated that he could obtain additional firearms, and a second firearm was delivered during the meeting. On Aug. 6, 2025, Colon-Tirado again sold the cooperating witness approximately 51.1 grams of fentanyl. On Oct. 7, 2025, Colon-Tirado again sold approximately 50.0 grams of fentanyl.
Colon-Tirado has at least 32 prior criminal convictions, including a 2021 Massachusetts state conviction for trafficking cocaine, for which he was sentenced to two to three years in state prison. As a result of his prior felony convictions, Colon-Tirado is prohibited from possessing firearms.
Dossantos-Tirado pleaded guilty on Sept. 22, 2026 and is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 21, 2026.
The charge of distribution of 40 grams or more of fentanyl provides for a sentence of no less than five years and up to 40 years in prison, at least four years of supervised release and a fine of up to $5 million. The charge of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute controlled substances provides for sentence of up to 20 years in prison, at least three years and up to a lifetime of supervised release and a fine of $1 million. The charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm provides for a sentence of up to 15 years in prison, up to three years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000. Sentences are imposed by a federal district court judge based upon the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and statutes which govern the determination of a sentence in a criminal case.
United States Attorney Leah B. Foley and Thomas Greco, Special Agent in Charge of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives made the announcement today. Valuable assistance was provided by the Massachusetts State Police and the Fall River Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney John J. Reynolds III of the Organized Crime & Gang Unit is prosecuting the cases.
