Prime Minister Dr. Golob received the U.S. Ambassador to NATO

Prime Minister Dr. Robert Golob met today with U.S. Ambassador to NATO Matthew G. Whitaker. At the outset, the Prime Minister highlighted the excellent and friendly relations between Slovenia and the United States, which are also reflected in their joint efforts for peace and stability in the Western Balkans.

They paid special attention to the situation in Ukraine. Slovenia consistently supports all efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace. On this occasion, Prime Minister Dr. Golob expressed his firm belief that the international community must remain united in its assistance to Ukraine.

The two interlocutors also discussed the importance of strengthening the European pillar of NATO. The Prime Minister underlined that Slovenia will fulfill the approved goals in the field of defense capabilities, in line with the Resolution adopted by the National Assembly, which is fully aligned with the Alliance. In this way, Slovenia remains a reliable member, committed to strengthening the country's resilience and to a responsible role within NATO.
