Individuals attending the 2025 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) at Huntington Place will find convenient, accessible parking and transportation in downtown Detroit. In addition, the City of Detroit also announced street closings and traffic restrictions during the Auto Show Charity Preview on Friday, Jan. 10.
TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10 and continuing through the evening, the City will begin restricting traffic on streets around Huntington Place, including Washington Blvd., Atwater, Shelby, Bates, Congress, Fort, Griswold, Cass and westbound Jefferson
The Michigan Department of Transportation will close the Larned exit via the southbound Lodge (US-10) at 4 p.m.
Traffic restrictions will be lifted after 11 p.m.
PEOPLE MOVER
Individuals can park at a City parking facility, private garage/lot or street parking meter close to a People Mover station and ride for free to the Huntington Place station.
DPM service begins earlier on the weekends during the Auto Show. On all other days during the show, the DPM will operate on its normal schedule.
The People Mover hours during the Auto Show are:
Monday - Friday | 6:30 a.m. - midnight
Saturday & Sunday | 8 a.m. - midnight

QLINE
Individuals also may park anywhere along the Woodward corridor between New Center and downtown and ride the QLine for free and get dropped off two blocks from Huntington Place.
PARKING FACILITIES
The City's Municipal Parking Department operates the Ford Underground Garage, conveniently located near Huntington Place.

PARKING ENFORCEMENT
Motorists also may use Municipal Parking meters in one-hour increments up to four hours in Zones 103 and 105 all day. After 6 p.m., kiosk space may be purchased in one-hour increments up to four hours daily and all day on Saturdays in the remaining zones during the Auto Show.
The City of Detroit also will enforce No Parking, Tow Zone and No Standing Zones from noon - 10 p.m. from Jan. 10 - 20 on:
There will be no parking of any vehicles on Atwater from Third to Renaissance Drive during the Auto Show. Motorists are advised to observe all posted parking restrictions to avoid being ticketed and/or possibly having vehicle towed.

DETROIT DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
The City encourages individuals attending the Auto Show to use DDOT to travel downtown and then take the Detroit People Mover to get to Huntington Place.
Washington Blvd. will be closed from 4 p.m. - midnight on Friday, Jan. 10. As a result, the following bus lines will be rerouted: Grand River, Van Dyke-Lafayette, Gratiot, Jefferson, Russell, Chene, Cadillac Harper and Dexter.
