San Rafael Firefighter-Paramedic Recognized as CA Paramedic of the Year!
Our very own James Irvine was awarded the most prestigious award at the CA EMSA Awards banquet at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone on June 3 - 2025 California Paramedic of the Year!
Firefighter-Paramedic James Irvine exemplifies the highest standards of clinical excellence, leadership, and service in the California EMS system. His career reflects a consistent trajectory of dedication, skill, and a deep-rooted commitment to both his profession and his community.
FF-PM James Irvine is an exceptional paramedic whose contributions have strengthened not only the San Rafael Fire Department but the entire Marin County EMS system. His dedication to service, education, mentorship, specialty team involvement, and outstanding patient care made him a truly deserving candidate for this award. He has accomplished so much for our department and we cannot wait to watch his successes over the years.
We are extremely lucky to have him at SRFD!
