Police Arrest Two Suspects Involved in Shooting and Kidnapping

Denver - Thursday, May 8, 2025 - The Denver Police Department announces the arrest of 53-year-old Stephen Harper (DOB: 8/2/71) and 39-year-old Tiffany Earvin (DOB: 8/12/85) for a shooting and kidnapping that occurred on May 6, 2025, at 2300 Court Place.

On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at approximately 10:34 p.m., Denver Police officers responded to a report of a shooting that occurred in an apartment of 2300 Court Place. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital. Officers also discovered the infant of an adult female inside the same apartment had been taken by the two suspects involved in the shooting.

After obtaining suspect descriptions, officers immediately began searching the area for the suspects and infant. Through great police work, officers quickly located both suspects and the infant at a neighboring residential building. The suspects were arrested, and the infant who appeared to be unharmed, was transported to the hospital as a precaution. The individuals involved in this incident were known to each other, and statements indicated there had been prior conflicts involving some of the individuals.

Stephen Harper and Tiffany Earvin are both being held for investigation of Attempted First Degree Murder and Attempted Second Degree Kidnapping.

Per standard protocol, the final determination of charges will be made by the Denver District Attorney's Office.
