CHICAGO-The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) announced on National Whistleblower Day the launch of a new online page for whistleblower complaints to be submitted to the Division of Financial Institutions.
IDPFR now offers a dedicated whistleblower complaint page where industry insiders can directly submit to the agency complaints about potential violations of law they may have witnessed or be aware of within the industries the Division regulates. Previously, such complaints were submitted through a general consumer complaint process. The new page provides a dedicated reporting channel, guidance, and education regarding potential protections.
"Whistleblower complaints are essential to helping IDFPR uncover unlawful conduct across the industries we regulate," said Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Secretary Mario Treto Jr. "This dedicated reporting page ensures that those who come forward are both heard and informed about potentially available protections."
