Innovative Health Initiative: turn ideas into impactful collaborations with call 12

Posted on 07.04.2026

The Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) is the world's largest cross-sector public-private partnership between the pharma and medical technology sectors and the European Commission dedicated to health research and innovation. As the IHI continues to advance collaborative projects, its latest single-stage applicant-driven call for proposals - IHI call 12 - is now open, with a submission deadline for project proposals on 21 April.

At the same time, the first from the previous single-stage applicant-driven call, call 9, is available on the IHI website, highlighting the scope and ambition of these collaborations. Call 9 resulted in diverse projects covering heart disease, dementia and brain surgery, as well as clinical trial design and the use of AI in healthcare. Additional projects from this call are underway and will soon be launched, further expanding IHI's growing portfolio.

Organisations preparing submissions for call 12 can access a range of resources to support high-quality applications. In addition to official call documents, the IHI website offers guidance and key information, including session recordings of recent webinars and presentations:

Now is the momentum to turn ideas into impactful collaborations. To get started, explore the available resources, connect with potential partners, and start shaping your proposal without delay.
