DOWNING LEADS LETTER URGING SEC TO FINALIZE REGISTERED OFFERING REFORM PROPOSAL

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Troy Downing (MT-02) led a letter urging the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Paul Atkins to finalize a proposal that would encourage capital formation and reduce burdensome regulations for certain registered securities offerings.

The proposal would remove duplicative state review for registered offerings of unlisted securities, which will lower costs and expand investor access while preserving existing protections against fraud.
