On the Meeting with the Foreign Minister of Iran
On August 17, 2026, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloyev met with Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tehran.
During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues of bilateral relations, including further strengthening political dialogue, expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as developing transport, transit, cultural and humanitarian ties.
Particular attention was paid to further improving mechanisms of intergovernmental cooperation and intensifying contacts between the business communities of the two countries.
The sides also held a substantive exchange of views on pressing regional and international issues of mutual interest.
