Extreme Heat Warning & High-Fire Burn Ban

An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect from Sunday, June 14 at 11 am through Tuesday, June 16 at 11 pm.

A High-Fire Danger Burn Ban is in effect beginning on Monday, June 15, 2026 until further notice.

Safety is our top priority during heat waves and dangerous fire conditions.

Immediate Assistance

  • Call or text 911 if you or someone else is experiencing a life threatening emergency.
  • If you see someone outside you are concerned about, call police non-emergency at 503-629-0111 and request a welfare check.
  • Call 211 for help finding shelter, transportation, or other assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Check In With Family, Friends, and Neighbors

Excessive heat significantly increases the potential for heat-related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.

Check in with your family, friends, and neighbors - especially young children, older adults, and people with chronic medical problems - as they are more vulnerable to heat-related illness.

Never leave pets or children unattended in vehicles.
