Apply Now! The City Of Norcross Is Accepting Applications For Vacant Boards!

The City of Norcross is currently accepting applications to fill vacancies on the Norcross Public Arts Commission (NPAC), Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) and Norcross Housing Authority (NHA). These are excellent opportunities to get involved, make a meaningful impact, and help shape the future of our community. The application deadline is Thursday, September 11 at 5:00 p.m. Please submit your completed application, to Deputy City Clerk Shayla Alexis at [email protected].

Norcross Public Arts Commission (NPAC)

Ideal applicants are individuals who:

  • Are residents of the City of Norcross or owners of property within the city
  • Have experience or training in the arts, culture, or related creative fields
  • Bring relevant skills such as social media engagement or connections with local schools
  • Are passionate about public art and community-based cultural programming and eager to contribute their talents to promote arts accessibility and visibility in Norcross

All interested candidates are encouraged to attend an upcoming NPAC meeting to learn more about the Commission's work and current initiatives before applying.

Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA)

Ideal applicants are individuals who:

  • Are residents of the City of Norcross (Required)
  • Have an interest in land use, planning, and development issues
  • Can apply fair judgment to variance and appeal requests while balancing property rights with community standards
  • Are committed to transparency, impartiality, and serving the public interest
  • Bring experience or knowledge in areas such as real estate, construction, architecture, law, or neighborhood advocacy (preferred but not required)
  • Dedicated to ensuring development decisions reflect the vision and well-being of the Norcross community.

Norcross Housing Authority (NHA)

Ideal applicants are individuals who:

  • Are residents of the City of Norcross or owners of property within the city (Required)
  • Have a strong interest in public and affordable housing programs
  • Bring experience or connections within the nonprofit sector or local service provider community
  • Are committed to supporting resident-focused initiatives and community partnerships

While not required, applicants with backgrounds in finance, community development, or public service are encouraged to apply. Above all, we're looking for individuals who are passionate about the Housing Authority's mission and its role in the Norcross community.
