President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy accepted the letters of credence of the newly appointed ambassadors: Michalis Firillas of Cyprus, Andrejs Pildegovičs of Latvia, and Kanwar Adnan Ahmed Khan of Pakistan.
The Head of State congratulated the Ambassadors on the start of their diplomatic missions in our country and held brief conversations with each of them.

In his meeting with the Ambassador of Cyprus, the President expressed gratitude for his country's support of Ukraine's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, for its participation in the Coalition of Willing, and for the financial and humanitarian assistance provided.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Michalis Firillas discussed strengthening sanctions pressure on Russia, food security, joint projects within the European Union, the security situation in the region, and cooperation with partners, particularly in multilateral formats.
One of the key topics was Ukraine's future EU membership and priorities during Cyprus's Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of next year.
In his conversation with the Ambassador of Latvia, the Head of State expressed gratitude for all the assistance provided to our country, especially in the defense sphere.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Andrejs Pildegovičs discussed the development of the PURL initiative, which enables Ukraine to procure weapons in the United States, as well as strengthening pressure on the Russian Federation.
Next year, Latvia will become a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. The Ambassador assured that his country will actively advance Ukraine's interests within the United Nations.

Special attention was also given to humanitarian assistance: arranging shelters, rebuilding civilian infrastructure after Russian strikes, and providing treatment and rehabilitation for Ukrainian warriors.
During his meeting with the Ambassador of Pakistan, the President expressed support for the people of Pakistan in connection with the recent floods that claimed hundreds of lives; he also offered assistance.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Kanwar Adnan Ahmed Khan discussed the development of bilateral cooperation, particularly in defense and military-technical areas, as well as partnership in trade and food sectors.
