Fischer Statement on Senate Confirming Lesley Woods Murphy to Serve as U.S. Attorney for Nebraska

U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) released the following statement after the U.S. Senate confirmed Lesley Woods Murphy to serve as the U.S. Attorney for the District of Nebraska:

"Congratulations to Lesley Woods Murphy on her confirmation by the Senate to serve as the U.S. Attorney for the District of Nebraska. I am confident that Lesley will excel in this role, which is why I strongly recommended that President Trump nominate her for this position. I look forward to seeing Lesley work efficiently and effectively - as she has done throughout her career - to keep our families and communities safe."

After Fischer recommended Lesley Woods Murphy to be nominated for this position, President Donald Trump nominated Lesley Woods Murphy to serve as U.S. Attorney for the District of Nebraska in May of 2025.
