ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Herzog Contracting Corp., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, completed work on the southbound Pigeon Creek Bridge, yesterday, Wednesday, May 21. Crews are now completing approach work on both the northbound Pigeon Creek and Bee Creek bridges
The bridge approach work is scheduled to be completed in early June. Once the approaches are complete, crews are scheduled to resurface I-29 beginning in August 2026.
Traffic Impacts: I-29 will be narrowed to one lane with an 11-foot width restriction in place. Motorists should expect delays.
The resurfacing is scheduled to be completed by mid-October 2026.
