Welcome, Viktor: The AI coworker for the modern workplace

After three and a half years of rapid AI innovation, we believe that we're entering the third wave of AI adoption driven by omnipresent and omnipotent agents. The chat interface launched the first wave of AI adoption and resulted in a billion people communicating with AI monthly. Coding assistants drove the second wave and transformed the nature of engineering and the shape of the software market. Until now, the adoption of AI in the workplace has been minimal outside of coding and a few pioneer markets, such as legal and customer service. In a few years, we expect everyone to use AI as much as the most advanced software engineers do today, and the path to it lies through products like Viktor.

Collaboration meets AI

Viktor is an AI employee who lives where the work is done - in your Slack or Microsoft Teams - and merges the worlds of collaboration and AI that have previously remained separate. Unlike most AI products used today, Viktor is intended to be used by teams rather than individuals. It works across the software teams already use and can perform a great and growing variety of tasks: analyze live business data, prepare a board-ready report, build an internal tool, launch a workflow, write code, call your customer, edit CRM data, plan an offsite, or coordinate work across systems. Anyone in a company can message Viktor like a colleague, add it to a team channel, and pick up a thread that a colleague started. Viktor also proactively notices tasks that need doing, offers help when needed, and takes on recurring responsibilities over time.

Context is key

Viktor's strength lies in its context. The product connects to more than 3,000 workplace tools, including Google Drive, Airtable, Notion, and Meta Ads, giving it access to the operational systems that define how a company actually works. Outputs arrive in the formats teams use every day, from spreadsheets and presentations to PDFs, deployed apps, code commits, and workflow automations.

An average team connects Viktor to 30+ tools and data sources - anything that a new hire would have access to. In return, Viktor delights customers by connecting the dots from various systems and remembering information that lives in a forgotten corner of the company's knowledge base. Having access to context, Viktor doesn't need extensive and specific prompting, making communication with it natural and human-like.

Built for a new category

We've been on the lookout for the right team to partner with in this area and are delighted to have met Fryderyk Wiatrowski and Peter Albert. Two former Meta engineers, Fryderyk and Peter have been iterating in this direction for two years. They built two previous iterations of the product, and have found "overnight success" with Viktor, having learned what works and what doesn't. Ten weeks after launch, more than 2,000 organizations use Viktor and it has reached a $15 million revenue run rate. Most customers compare Viktor to an employee, thanks to the magical product experience founded on the principles of context and collaboration.

Fryderyk and Peter have long had the vision to free knowledge workers from repetitive operational tasks using AI. They've created a product that is technically ambitious, deeply practical, and designed around how teams actually behave. We believe Viktor has the potential to become one of the defining AI companies for the modern workplace. Today, we're announcing that Accel is leading Viktor's $75 million Series A and look forward to partnering with Fryderyk, Peter, and the Viktor team on the journey ahead. Welcome to the Accel family, Viktor!
