Gosar Votes to Ban Illegals from Voting in Elections

This week I voted in favor of legislation that would fund the federal government and includes the SAVE Act, which would require states to obtain documentary proof of United States citizenship when registering an individual to vote in a federal election.

Voters are overwhelmingly concerned about the integrity of elections. Only legal voters have the right to vote in America. Yet, states across the country are facing the daunting reality that illegal immigrants are showing up on their voting rolls.The SAVE Act will restore integrity in our elections by ensuring that only American citizens can vote in our elections. With 13 million lawbreakers pouring across Border Czar Kamala Harris' open border, this legislation is a crucial step towards ensuring our elections are fair and honest.

I generally do not support continuing resolutions to fund the federal government that don't also include cuts to rein in wasteful spending. In this instance, because the funding package included the SAVE Act, I felt it best to vote in favor of the short-term spending bill. Unfortunately, a handful of my Republican colleagues voted against the measure causing it to fail by the slimmest of margins.

Another Trump Assassination Attempt, Democrats Blame Trump

While on the golf course in Florida, another leftist would-be assassin attempted to murder President Trump earlier this week. This is the second time in as many months. The first assassination attempt occurred on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania when an assassin shot President Trump in the ear while aiming for his head. Miraculously, in both cases, the good Lord spared President Trump. This week, the Department of Homeland Security also informed Congress that there are at least five teams of assassins in our country targeting Donald Trump. Rather than show gratitude he was unharmed, too many Democrats took to blaming our former president for the attempts on his life. For example, Hillary Clinton, just one day after the second assassination attempt, declared that Donald Trump "is a danger to our country and the world." She continued, "We can't go back and give this very dangerous man another chance to harm our country and the world." NBC reporter Lester Holt blamed the assassination attempt on President Trump's effort to end the migrant crisis and secure the border. Let's not forget that Nancy Pelosicontinuously refers to Donald Trump as a "threat to our democracy of a kind that we have not seen" or Joe Biden exclaimed "It's time to put Trump in a bullseye." Former Obama Campaign Manager David Plouffe made these hateful remarks: "It is not enough to beat Trump. He must be destroyed thoroughly. His kind must not be allowed to rise again." As recently as this week, Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett lamented that "Donald Trump needs to be shot." This is the sort of harmful rhetoric that causes unhinged leftists to try to assassinate President Trump. I could go on and on, but I will not dignify these revolting statements with any further comment. Sickening: New Poll Reveals One in Four Democrats Want Trump Dead

Asickening pollreleased this week revealed that 28 percent of Democrats believe that America would be better off if President Trump had been assassinated. You read that right, more than a quarter of those belonging to the party of peace, love and tolerance express a desire to have their political opponent murdered.

I will be honest, I disagree with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on most things, but I would never, ever wish harm on either of them.

I have repeatedly stated and, once again, let me be perfectly clear: there is absolutely no place for any sort of incendiary rhetoric or calls for violence in politics today and everyone must condemn it. I thank God that President Trump is safe and will never stop fighting for the American people.

Biden-Harris Spokesperson: Veterans Can Go to Hell

If the deplorable comments aimed at President Trump aren't bad enough, comments made this week by Biden-Harris National Security Council Spokesman John Kirby will make you even more sick. Referring to veterans' concerns about the Biden-Harris disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal (click here for more on that), Kirby made it known that there was "no use in responding to a 'handful' of vets and all of one stripe [ie: Republicans]." I'm sorry, but I am more than certain that when our brave warfighters are defending our freedom on the battlefield, they aren't asking their fellow soldier what political stripes they might be from, and it should be no different for individuals in this Administration. John Kirby is a disgrace. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris owe our servicemembers an apology for this putrid comment. But guess what? No one from the Biden-Harris Administration has been fired or has resigned for their stupid remarks, denials or role in the deadly withdrawal. And of course, the White House had no comment.

Gosar to Kamala: Wrong! There Are Active-Duty Troops in Combat Zones

This week I sent a letter to Vice President Harris and Department of Defense Secretary Austin in response to recent false claims by the Vice President that "there is not one member of the United States military who is on active duty in a combat zone in any war zone around the world, the first time this century." This is a bold face lie. In fact, the United States has 2,500 troops being fired on or in harm's way in Iraq and 900 troops in Syria, both designated combat zones. U.S. naval ships are under constant attack by Houthi rebels in the Red Sea.

Kamala's latest lie is particularly galling here at home. Last September, more than 350 Arizona Guardsmen were deployed to the Middle East as part of Task Force Spartan in support of CENTCOM. Tragically, on January 28, 2024, a drone strike in Jordan killed three U.S. service members and injured over forty others. Most of the injured were members of the 1^st Battalion, 158^th Infantry Regiment, or "Bushmasters," of the Arizona National Guard, including Guardsmen from Phoenix, Tucson, Florence, Prescott, and Buckeye.

Kamala Harris cannot dishonor our troops for political gain, nor should our service members overseas feel abandoned by their country. VP Harris' public denial of their presence in combat zones is detrimental to morale and is a slap in the face to all brave men and women in combat's harm.

Gosar Votes to Protect Women Again Violent Acts Committed by Illegals

This week, I voted in favor of H.R. 7909, the Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act. This important legislation ensures that any non-citizen who has been convicted of or admits to committing sex offenses, domestic violence, stalking, child abuse, or violation of a protection order is deemed inadmissible and deportable.

This legislation protects women and children by ensuring that non-citizens who pose a danger due to past convictions or admissions of serious crimes are not allowed to enter or remain in the United States. By expanding and strengthening the criteria for inadmissibility and deportations, H.R. 7909 puts the safety of American families first by keeping predators who have no business on our soil out of our communities.

Unfortunately, we see tragic stories every day - victims hurt or killed by illegals because of the Biden-Harris border crisis. Our immigration laws must reflect our values, protect Americans and deport criminals. It is unconscionable that 158 Democrats voted against this common sense legislation.

Please tell your congressional and senate members to pass the SAVE Act. NO MONEY TO FUND THE GOVERNMENT. SHUT THE GOVERNMENT DOWN. If this is not passed and illegal immigrants vote, all Americans will lose their country. Democrats will cheat and we will become a Communist 3rd world government.

✍ Dear Patricia, you and I agree. Democrats care more about power than they care about their countrymen. Their entire premise is to allow as many illegals as possible into our country, give them driver's licenses, register them to vote and then create an impenetrable "wall" of new Democrat voters. It's simple math: one illegal immigrant = one Democrat voter. For Democrats, politics comes first, not America.

No more CR until we get SAVE Act approved. Shut the government.
Speaker Johnson is not doing his damn job!

✍ John, as I noted earlier in this newsletter, the CR with the SAVE Act failed this week by a handful of votes. Unfortunately, Congress is poised to take up a new CR next week that does NOT include the SAVE Act. Elon Musk said it best: "Failure to require a photo ID to vote obviously makes it impossible to prove voter fraud. That is why the far-left refuses to require a photo ID to vote." Undoubtedly, it will pass with nearly every Democrat and way too many Republicans voting in favor of it. I will have more to say about this in next week's newsletter.

✍ Dear Bob, I voted in favor of the SAVE Act, for the many reasons I outlined earlier in this newsletter. Three "brave" Democrats broke from the grips of their party's leadership and also voted for the SAVE Act. Three, that's it. All other House Democrats voted against ensuring ONLY Americans are voting in American elections. I might argue that Speaker Johnson has become a voting arm of the Democrats.
